Installing Your Stair
Everything you need to install your QStairs kit, including downloadable step-by-step guides.
Before you start — recommended tools
• SDS drill with a 12mm SDS drill bit (for masonry)
• Hacksaw
• Standard drill with a 4mm metal-working drill bit
• Adjustable spanner (6–20mm range)
• Hammer
• Tape measure
A spacer is included in your kit to help you install the uprights/balusters so they sit parallel.
Working at height
You'll be working at height to install your spiral staircase, so it's worth thinking through the health and safety implications before you start. We'd recommend an access tower, and a genie lift for installing the landing. A risk assessment is always a good idea before you begin.
Heavy components
Some components of your kit are heavy, so factor this into your delivery and installation planning. A minimum of two people are required to install any QStairs staircase, and installation typically takes one to two days depending on experience.

Prefer not to install it yourself?
Installation isn't included as standard - kits are supply-only, and designed for self-installation. If you'd rather have it installed for you, we can arrange this for an additional cost. Get in touch to discuss.
